Jonny isnt that the beach near the Sheraton Hotel in Dubai Marina? Looks familiar :D

Did you eat the cuda?

I dunno where sheraton is even though i have lived here for 15 years :) but it is the public beach near to al hamour and Mercato. the coast guards dont care and we always talk to them :)

yeah we ate ALL the fish, we usually only shoot what we can eat. how nice
are we! I used to rod fish and still do on rare occasions but i liked the sound of choosing what you can catch with a speargun and it is better because you only shoot fish that you can eat.i have to get some new fins i think and use a weightbelt to get my self deeper apparently my fins are no good for freediving :( still no reply from Nadim.

watch your weights young chap...

what do you mean? watch my weights? i dont use them yet and when i do i will make sure they are right.. not too heavy that it is straining to surface but not too hard to get down.

Are you coming on the trip on 13/14/15th? Then you'll get a chance to see me spear for the first time and allow yourself some quality laughter rofl

nice a trip :D how much do these trips cost by the way? if you dont mind me asking? and you never did answer my question...

this one is 1000dhs... full board leaving 13th, back on 15th evening. You coming? We are going to Seer island (Sharjah) :D

Oof i would love to come.. got damn GCSE exams tho :( :( so i better revise but keep me posted after summer about trips if you would :) cause i wont have exams
and ill be earning 425 a week in job :D have a good trip tho and show us dem pics when u get back!

guys, looks like you're having a blast. i feel (fatherly urge, sorry) the need to give one tip a lifetime of safe shooting has taught me:
Always imagine your gun to be loaded. ALWAYS. that means NEVER point it at anyone, unloaded or not. Teach your friends that too. I see so many spearos pointing their guns everywhere because they *think* its unloaded, and it *probably* is. but go one better:
ALWAYS TREAT YOUR GUNS AS THOUGH THEY WERE LOADED.

good hunting!

and watch out for those cressi wishbones if they slip out of the knot while ur loading ur gun they will cut you to the bone .. trust me ;)

and if ur going to start freediving with weights dont make the mistake of buying a scuba weightbelt it will come up to ur chest when u dive even if you tighten it .. try to get ur hands on a rubber belt and start off with only 2kgs
