Spearos in Wales

Hi Guys, my name is James, im 23 and a fishing, hunting and diving enthusiast from Swansea.

I would just like to find out if there is much interest in Spearfishing in South Wales? Ive recently developed the taste to get out there and give it a bash. Ive already purchased the beginners weapon of choice... Seac Sub STING. And as we speak am in the process of looking at some other bits and bobs. Id be interested in meeting up with some fellow welshmen and give this new hobby a blast sometime soon

Hi James,

Welcome to the site. I've dived a lot in south wales (Pembs) but since my brother (DafyddRees) left Cardiff I've mainly stayed diving in Dorset (I live in Somerset). There are quite a few welsh spearo's who I'm sure will show you the ropes. 'Piratesteve' I think still lives in Cardiff, who I know help my brother out when he first started. If I'm heading over your way for a dive I'll let you know and you can come along if you want.

probably worth looking in the pembrokeshire spearfishing category even if you don't intend on travelling that far, some of the guys on there are from cardiff, swansea and gower. If you are up for pembrokeshire let me know
