When I took freediving training we were led through a terrific set of stretches, but unfortunately when you're standing by the pool with your arms in the air it's hard to write things down ...

Could anyone share some specifics on the overall stretches they go through to prepare for statics and/or freediving? I searched the article and forum archives and found a couple of posts on lung stretches specifically, but I was thinking more the soup-to-nuts regimen of total body stretches that freedivers usually go through. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

I would like to see this too!

I do pack stretching - ie pack untill comfortably full and do torso stretching like sidebends etc. It would be nice to see the whole kit-and-caboodle laid out though. I know there are more types of stretching out there if someone could just set them out in a one, two, three series it would be extremely helpful. Variety is the spice of life as it were.

Perhaps DB could do a little how-to article if no one is willing to do it on the boards?

Thanks in Advance!

hi all.. I actually think
there could be lots of mini-how-to's written
by expert people on the forum.. even a "book"
(collection of how-to's). That was the topic of a recent thread.
Mini-how-to's on:

lung stretching
ventilation and hyperventilation
static training
equalizing (actually done by efattah)
dynamic training
pranayama

maybe the question is to begin writing one, so i'm writing a short doc about pranayama
(nadhi sodhana, square pranayama, kapalabhati, bhastrika, etc).

If I had the knowledge I'll write an article about correct ventilation and static training. But I don't, so.. any help? :)
