I am confused about the tag 'elite' that is sometimes put on the Sporasub H. Dessaults. Are these the same fins or does the 'elite' denote a different design/model?

Also, anybody have a particular affinity for the Picasso BT's over the H. Dessaults.

Fleeder -- I'm not absolutely positive, but based on research I've been doing on FD fins (for a magazine article) and data I've collected from a number of makers thus far, it appears that the H.Dessault and Elite Pro fins (both from Sporasub) are one and the same thing....with just different names. Perhaps the difference in name is driven by the market where they're distributed and/or sold. The specs do appear identical, as do the detailed descriptions I've found..and average prices too. Hope this helps.

Can't help you with personal analysis/comparison of Omer BATs versus Sporasub Dessaults, as I've not been a serious user of either of these fins (I have Millinniums). However, based on spec comparisons, I'd expect the BATs to be superior....they contain a composite blade, versus a technopolymer blade on the Dessaults. Furthermore, everyone seems to rave about the Millinnium foot pockets, which are also used in Omer's BAT line. I'll be interested to see what other people say in response....and what you end up with. :)
