PureC for me

I've been using the PureC's in the pool and in the ocean for training since I got them a couple months ago. I really like them, and have not had any sign of cracking. I did use black silicone in the sides to keep the rails on, however. I also used black vinyl tape on the tips to keep them from being scraped or cracked in the pool.
They feel a little too stiff in the pool, but in the ocean for constant ballast they are fantastic. Other fins I've tried: Gara2000HF, Omer carbon millenium, Carbon C4, Sporasub Radicals and plastic. The only fins I preferred were the Omer Carbon and the C4's. The C4's were incredibly smooth. But my wife doesn't buy that many shoes...
Generally, I am careful with them, but not overly protective. I know from experience with other carbon fibre toys I've had over the years that it is important to protect them from the sun. The UV will very quickly break down the resin bond and weaken the fibres, but this would take more than occassiona exposure.
Just remember to not let them dry out in the sun after your dives - keep them in the shade! Have a opaque bag or wrap for them when you are not using them.

mine came up -

The rabbit died- laughing.

Willer, willer, you thilly little perv... the abalone here, as with most all abs, except the exceedingly rare white, which Bill will tell you about, seeing as how they mysteriously became endangered following his expatriation to HI-land, need to be tenderized, or in parlance, pounded.

You weren't thinking that I meant...:naughty.
