hi

i feel like i want to buy my first carbon fins these days. the models i have access to are above mentioned sporasub blades.

right now i dive with cressi garas and am really pleased with those.

now can someone maybe point out the main differences between the sporasub fins. i m especially interested in durability since i wont travel with 2 sets of fins. and how do they compare to the garas.
i mostly cruise dive, no hunting, no contact with rocks, maybe some drops in the sandbottom.
i freedive quiet regularly and wnt to get into a more timeconsuming training routine.

thanx in advance for any advice or suggestions

roland

The radicals are coated in fiberglass whereas the pures are...you guessed it, pure carbon! The radicals(which I own a pair of) are much more durable. I have no direct comparison though as the diving I do wont allow me the luxary of just carbon blades...rigs are very unforgiving. Good luck.
BTW from my understanding the radicals are dicontinued so it will be difficult to get replacement blades...but the footpockets are all the same sooo.....

radicals Discontinued

I have heard good things about the radicals, but I was unable to find any for sale. The dealers I spoke to cleared them all out last year.

He gave me a great deal on mine..$150...they are on the way now!

thanx for the information

seems like i can get the radicals from an italian shop. i think i´ll go for those especially since they are not built any longer plus they have that cool color pattern!

cheers

Dont forget that you can get pure blades and use the same footpocket. Just two screws is all it takes to change the blades. This would give you two sets of fins for the price of 1 1/2!:D :D :D
