Hi guys, I'm new here sorry if thread like this exist but i cannot find answers for my questions...

I want to train some freedive not for making record only reason for me is snorkeling , make some video atc. but i want better experience not only from sea level ...

I need some equipment for multi purpose freedive up to 15-20m and snorkeling ....something like midrange fins i dont know....is possible buy mask, snorchel, fins for this or must buy one for snorkeling and one set for freediving...

I looking for this mask: omer alien
snorkel: omer zoom or cressi corsica
fins: cressi reaction pro full foot

Thanks for your reaction and sorry for my english , I'm not a native speaker

I think mask and snorkel are fine for anything, but i would advice to also take real apnea fins (narrow and longer). I found the difference huge when i first tried them. Never had this feeling of "speed" under water before ;) But you have to use the right technique. Some experienced scuba divers in my course had trouble adapting to it.

Ok I understand longer fins are better for speed, deep diving but it also good for normal snorkeling??? I'm afraid about comfort on sea level with that length ... I never tried long fins only normal scuba length...

in this scenario, I'm thinking about some entry level omer eaglerays or stingrays...

thanks for your reply

I don't think you will have an issue with comfort. I find the kicking with straight even more comfortable. The only thing i can't do with them are frog kicks.

Check out the Omer Stingray Shorts. They're only 15cm shorter than the regular. You can take them apart and transport the footpockets and blades in a normal suitcase. If you want, you can buy carbon Leaderfin blades for them later if you want to upgrade. I use them for short trips where I don't want to take my dive bag.
