Thanks for the tips. Sounds like relaxation is the most important thing. Next time I go out I'm going to work on the habbit of completely relaxing as soon as I fall off. I don't fall much anymore though haha. Generally the waves are small so I take liberties and get to the top quickly, knowing its there. But its probably best to build the habbits of relaxation so I am going to work on that.
Curious about the tables helping or not since it seems to be conflicting. It seems to me that they would have to help? It's considered useful for freediving in which you expend energy while underwater. So why wouldn't it be useful for surfing in which you expend energy underwater? I know you aren't relaxed in surfing or able to get a full breath, but I'm not sure how that negates the usefulness of the tables.
Clearly they aren't the most important thing fitness and it appears relaxation are. But they would have to be useful to supplement with?
