I took delivery of a brand new Suunto D3 and PC interface on 31/07/03.

I began playing about with the watch and within about ten minutes the lower left button began working loose.

I realise this does not render the watch open to water penetration as the buttons around the face are contact poles for the pressure sensors but the button protruded just enough from the watch face to allow it spin freely.

I thought this was very dissapointing as I have read such good reviews on this forum and the watch developed a problem before even being immersed in water.

I am now waiting for a replacement which won't arrive for a few days (very annoying as the guy I dive with is going away for a month) so it will be some time before I can even use the watch.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with their watches and if so did they get it replace or repaired?:waterwork

Hi !

I can see you posted 2 years ago in August... I would be curious to know how things happened ...

Did you get a new D3 quickly enough ?

Suunto UK are fantastic when problems occur. My original D3 was replaced within 3 days (including postage time!) when it developed the resetting problem. I know several other people with similiar experiences
cheers
