We are happy to announce that after years of development our first monofin, the Swordfish Wakizashi is ready!

We will start taking pre-orders tomorrow, so make sure to check out www.swordfishfins.com for more details if you'd like to be among the first to get one.

All questions and good advice is welcome, so fire away! :)

Great looking product, and pleased to see another rigid wing type monofin becoming available on the market again. Can you tell me more about the foot size element of ordering a Swordfishfin? Are the foot pockets based on a shoe size/length measurement or are they tailored to the customer? Thank you

Hi there, thanks for the feedback! We currently offer standard sizes ranging from EU 36-47. We 3D print the feet inserts we use when casting the polyurethane over the carbon fibre, so if someone sends us accurate 3D scans of their feet we could offer a completely customized solution. Do you think the swimming public would appreciate this service?

Thank you for the quick response! Molding off of 3D printed parts is a very modern and practical way to offer this option especially if someone intends to accommodate for wearing socks of varying thicknesses. This is a very attractive service customers would be interested in especially if they are going to pay for a premium product. The difficulty is the general public having access to scanning equipment, fortunately I have the luxury of access to this type of equipment where I work. I assume a series of measurements would be the next best thing to help generate the models on your end. Some people just need to know where to look as even libraries are starting to offer scanning and printing capabilities to the public in the US.

Thank you for the insight! New iPhones have fairly good 3D scanners in their faceID system. We tried scanning feet with it, it's a bit tedious, but it works!
