I have shearched through posts on here and haven't really seen what is the best time of day to do tables?
And I have read about how bad your contractions should be and have heard mixed results? How hard do you push in tables vs try not to hate breath holds?
I did a pfi course and have been doing the standard tables and I want to try the wonka tables but curious if they work well and people who have done both there opinions on which gets better results?
Last one breathing normal between holds or doing a breath up?

Thanks in advance

Chad

Best time to do tables would be when you feel well and able. It wouldn't help to practice anything when you aren't feeling willing.

As far as how bad contractions should be. That's different for everybody, because of mental strength and pain tolerance.

You want to keep a consistent and calm breathing between holds, to keep your heart rate down. Also my opinion on tables is that they only get anyone so far. Diving and gaining experience will push you past your goals.

Thanks for the reply!! Yea sometimes I will breeze through tables and not feel any discomfort till the last two holds and other times it is like I am struggling on the second hold with the same table. I guess that must be weather or not I am in the mood lol but I try and be consistent (every third day) I guess moral of the story for tables is just keep doing them and relax and they will get better.

Has anyone done the "wonka" tables of one breath in between and going off the contractions?? And how they worked for you and the results?? It makes science to me.

Sorry for bringing up tables again but you know there just isn't much else you can talk about freediving other than training.... the gear doesn't really change all that much lol
