After the success of this years event https://forums.deeperblue.com/threa...015-uk-member-meet.102519/page-18#post-948602 I though we could start a discussion on this page.
I think next years event will be the 9th successive gathering of Deeper Blue members. It seems we have evolved into a friendly regular group.
I love the general enthusiasm towards the spearfishing regardless of the weather & I love the social side.
However we realise that for some folk, the expense involved is considerable.
The social evenings (even if the food & venues are good) were not cheap this year!
So we are open for any suggestions for next year....
I think there is plenty of potential for the numbers to grow but, for this to happen the format would have to change.
20 spearos in the water at one time, in one bay, is not a number I would like to increase but (with help) cooking for 40 is quite achievable.
I think the first step for next year is to establish a date.
We all know the fishing improves in the autumn but as the event is primarily a social affair, I feel July - August is still a good bet?
So if anyone has any suggestions, please post them here ...
You can find the predicted tides here... http://www2.digimap.gg/tides/draughts.aspx
