i don't know about you guys but my tastebuds tingling
any one know what lakes are the first to melt in alberta or sask??

and any care to join me ?

Usually the southern lakes melt first - if not, we've got big problems :)

Even once they have melted though, they will stay murky for some time. They have to go through the turnover process. Last 2 springs in Saskatchewan have been really late - even when the water does clear up - the fish aren't yet around.

I am hoping with this nice weather we've been getting, that will be bumped up a week or two. I'm sure by 3rd week in May, all lakes Saskatoon latitude and south will be cleared up and fish should be easily found.

If you are going into lakes in Saskatchewan at latitude of Candle Lake and north, ice isn't usually off until May long. The fish aren't around until 2nd week in June.

Can't wait any longer for the ice melt. Heading to Hawaii tomorrow.:)

well lucky you!! i myself am going out to vancouver for a month :blackeye
