Just to let you all know that Lee Deighton a member of the British SpearfishingTeam has just opened a new restaurant THE SEAFOOD EXPERIENCE 29 – 32 Ferry Road Shoreham By Sea after a hectic six weeks working night and day to get it up and running. They have also bought a licensed fishing boat that is being run by his younger brother with good catches coming out all ready. The catchy phrase From Our Boat To Your Plate plus the clean lines and professional approach of the staff bought the public flooding in on the opening day giving the new owner a baptism of fire. When I turned up with my family the next day to sample some of the mouth-watering food we were lucky to get a table and as customers left during the course of our meal I heard nothing but praise for the cuisine and staff. Lee’s intention is to try and wean the public on to some of our more diverse species such as Trigger Fish and Mullet to name just a few, best of luck to him from the Sussex Club in realising a boyhood dream.

There's a restaurant that should never be short of delicious, fresh caught fish! Good luck. If they're doing well in the current economy, it bodes well for the future.

We have a very large number of excellent restaurants, with many specialising in fish. I used to supply many of them back in my commercial days. A supply of fresh fish can absolutely make a restaurant. It's one business where quality is everything. If you have a crap meal it doesn't matter how cheap it was it will still be crap. An excellent meal no matter how expensive will still be excellent.

Good luck to your mate , Eric.

The beauty of fresh seafood is that it is often best cooked simply (as you pointed out to me when I started). I had memorable lemon sole in Looe in Cornwall, just cooked in butter & served with a few potatoes - it was fabulous.
