Hi
I am planing to use a 1'5mm elios suit for CW in waters 25C warm.It is any advantages to use a thinner suit?why everybody uses 3mm also in warm waters?
thanks
Rafa

It seems to me that 3mm is a nice "middle of the road" thickness; it's not too warm for tropical waters (which can get colder the deeper you go), and it's just thick enough for cooler water, such as a quarry (as long as you don't spend TOO much time below the thermocline. In my area, that can get a bit chilly!). Also, in my experience, a 3mm suit is the easiest to weight properly. :)

If the 1.5 mm suit will keep you warm and it is durable enough for the use you put it to, it will be Much better than a 3 mil suit, less weight, less buoyancy change, much more flexible. Just make sure it is warm enough.
