In a few words... absolutely stupid... are CMAS from an outter world? where are they been since Pelizzari, Ferreras, Nitsch, Leferme, Streeter, Mestre and so on...(huge list) put their lives on the Big Blue training and loving freediving?

whatever happened to da love of getting wet and pushing the limit, everybody seems so hung up on orginisations especially those they are not apart of making them the enamy!!!! I believe free diving/spearing is for all just us common sense!!!!! F**K the established orginisations people and get together in groups and learn from each other for free and for the love!

stephencha - just thought I would point out that you are replying to a load of really old posts - just in case you hadn't noticed.

Hi All,

I'm still quite new to all the different organizations of freediving. Frm what I gather the biggest ones at the moment is Aida and Free. In that case, how does CMAS, IANTD and Apnea-Academy all fit in? Are they also organizations that have rules and world records of their own?

Coming from South East Asia, the closet freediving clinic/course I could attend is in Thailand and it was ran by 2 instructors trained in the F.R.E.E way. Sad to say I can't find them anymore.
