Thread types for Euro Bands???

Hi everyone,
New here.... I"ve been spearing for about 2 years and have mainly used the loop type rubbers (through the bottom portion of the muzzle). I have an older "Beuchat Marlin supermetal" ... "champion de 1983...". Really old gun but it was hardly used before I got it.

I wanted to try out the screw in type rubbers but have no idea what type of threads are on my gun. I think the gun came with a 16mm screw in rubbers (which I took off because it was rotten). Are there different types of threads for different sized rubbers?

The outside diameter of the screw of the rubber is 13.8 mm.

If anyone has info for me it would be great... i'd like to not buy something I don't need.

i dont think that thread sizes have changed over the years, i think a regular beuchat rubber would fit, but if you want to be certain maybe drop them a line,
all rubbers have the same thread, i.e. a 20mm, 18mm or 16mm thick rubber would have the same threads, it is also standard between most brands, the only exception i know of is cressi, other bands (from omer picasso etc...) dont fit cressi muzzles because the threads ae not the same...

In the last 10 years euro brands all adopted the universal size of 16mm for band/muzzle threads, no matter how fat is the rubber band itself.
You can still find in shops some old OMER guns with 20mm threads, but they're all discontinued models such as Master and Black Master, MB/20 and the oldest T20 series: all the new OMERs have the 16mm fittings too.

Does that mean Cressi have the same standard as well mate ?

As regards Cressi, I think the Comanche does not accept OMER bands. Something about the size of the muzzle not the thread type. A friend of mine tried to fit OMER Power 18mm bands to a Cressi Comanche and he couldn't screw them in. If I remember correctly the fittings on the OMER bands were overall bigger than the Cressi's.

Yes in facts, that's the exception: Cressi and Omer don't fit well. They're both 16mm in theory, but Cressi is 16 less something and Omer is 16 plus something.
