although i ended up having a pretty good dive on friday afternoon, the first half of the dive was terrible. there was a layer of this stringy-stinger soup in the first 3-4m. swimming through it was very painfull because every ten seconds you get a really good zap on the lips (in addition to the constant background stinging). because i dive with a full-suit with hood, gloves and booties, the only area exposed is around my lips.
i ended up holding my hand over my mouth, but that ment holding my gun and flasher in the same hand, so its not ideal.
i've heard of using a piece of lycra to cover that area. has anyone else tried it? what about a thick layer of vaseline? :naughty
please help! the rubber-lips were starting to show an unhealthy interest in me :chatup
