I think i will start uploading my catches in this thread to keep it alive and it might encourage others to do the same.

I spear in Phuket/Thailand 2-4 days a week when the weather allows for it, now it's monsoon season so right now it is more like 2 days a week if im lucky.
Im a beginner and to be honest i dont catch alot of big fishes since i currently only shore-hunt and Phuket is kind of overfished.

Today i got myself a smaller grouper, chevron berracuda and some other specie i dont know the name of yet but it's good for eating, and also i got my second cuttlefish since i started spearing. I've never been a fan of cuttlefishes or squids in general(the last i one i shot i gave to a friend) but todays dinner changed my mind. I cut it up and brought it with me to the local restaurant and they made me some meals of fried rice and Tom Yum, very delicious!

Been high tide and murky water the past few weeks, alot of wasted gasoline just to find out that i needee to turn back home.. Today was better but still pretty murky water. Got me a cuttlefish as always but the the usual fishies i look for was nowhere to be found sadly.

Biggest cuttlefish i shot this far, cut the head for myself and gave the body of it and the humpback n needlefish to the local lifeguard since he let me store my belongings in the lifeguardtent while im out in the shore spearfishing

Some groupers, bluebar, emperor, chevron cuda and silver drummers i got today. Always nice when the bike becomes fully packed with fishies, also funny when the local Thai anglers starts cheering loudly when the spearing foreigner comes up from the ocean with a full stringer :) That is something that motivates me alot to get out and for inshore hunting even if there arent much big fishes, there are always curious thaipeople coming by to check out your catch and asking questions!

Outdoor.me ; I hope your leg will heal soon, can imagine you get bored alot when you can go out and be active!

Not much of catch for me today. The moonsoon is more or less gone now(but still some rain sometimes) so the improving conditions is opening up the other better shores on the Island. I also plan to start going out to the outer islands and for bluewater in a soon future.

Today i tried out a new spot, sadly it was one of those "miss 90% of the shots" day for me as a newbie. I've had a few of these before and they usually come after several really good days of 100% spot on shots with loads of catches. I dont know why it becomes like this, if its because im unfocused or maybe get a bit too cocky and selfconfident and take shots too quickly. It sucks that i cant use our common pool for targetpractice so i can figure out what the problem is.

However i got a small but tasty fish and the new spot obiously has lobsters so i managed to catch my first ever lobster! Next time i go here my un-used craybag definently will come along!

So delicious!
That cray looks spiky Okis! I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of gloves you were wearing?
Sweet catch (y)
Thanks for the update,
Rock Shooter

Awesome, thank you. :D
Have you had any spines/objects come through them? As I am in the market for some new gloves, after receiving one almighty painful urchin spine to the finger, which of course, refused to come out :banghead:. It was an interesting night, with a knife, some tweezers and a rag, I must confess that there was a lot of swearing going on!

Thanks for the link to the gloves, will definitely check them out,

Rock Shooter.
