Too good to be true? Seems like it. Any advice on this suit?

I feel silly asking this, as I know you get what you pay for, but...

I'm new to free diving as a technical set of skills. I've gone to 35' in a shorty in truly frigid water for seconds at a time to snag a lobster off of the ocean floor (and sometimes, two) in short sessions for more for more than ten years. I only recently used the web to try and learn more about diving.

I found incredible breathing techniques which I have yet to master, and (you're going to swallow some sea water on this one) I have, yes, only now heard of equalizing. I put up with it since the beginning, the pain from the pressure. Or was it pain for the pleasure.. It hurt but I loved it.

I dove recently at my old favorite dive spot (Singing beach, Manchester by the Sea, 40 miles north of Boston, MA, USA) and tried what I had learned about equalizing from reading online and was unable to get to a comfortable pressure, maybe I got it wrong. Pinch nose and exhale from mouth. How wrong could I get it?

But I digress. Of course input is greatly appreciated on any aspect of my first post here, but primarily, got any input on using the linked suit for a foray into diving into water around Monterrey, CA? I'm not concerned with the time of the year, more of an average as I plan to keep my dive duration and number on the short end for the Monterrey, CA area. Too many (larger) predators for my heart. I nearly popped that one time..

I've read a lot here this weekend and plan to spend much more borrowing from the generous wealth of knowledge.

Henderson makes a fairly sturdy wetsuit great for a beginner suit but the link provided is just for the "beaver tail" as I call it or rather the jacket. Also check out the Mares pure instinct open cell wetsuit. I currently have one and love it it's only a 3 mil and live in Michigan. I took it diving two days ago and the water temp was a balmy 49 f and my core temp stayed quite comfortable. It all depends if you fit well into an off the shelf suit.
