Hi guys,

I'm just getting back into diving after a number of years off. Only freediving now, used to spearfish a little bit.

I'm looking for to do some regular training in Melbourne. Looking for a regular training buddy for pool and depth work. Not sure how to do any depth work in Melbourne, haha (but seriously)

I live near MSAC and will be doing almost all of my pool work there. I will be starting there this week. I work shift work so my training times will vary.

If anyone is already training there please let me know.

Cheers

Thanks for that Fitzy.

I have sent a request to join the group but no response as yet.

I'll keep heading down and anyone who sees this thread and/or wants to have a session let me know.

Thanks again mate

Due to changes in risk management requirements, freediving training at MSAC is presently not supported by the management group and there is a zero tolerance on swimmers discovered training as such. Work is being done by the Melbourne Freedivers to resolve this issue.

In the meantime, if you're still looking for freediving training buddies, you can now join the Melbourne Freedivers Club to attend regular weekly pool training, go on social dives and find more freediving buddies. Please visit us at: melbournefreedivers.com

We're also in the middle of developing a Geelong training group.

Cheers,

Wow that's great news for you. I still want to have training for spearfishing cause I find it very cool. Is there also free spearfishing trainings you've gone through?
