I hose my gun off after every trip but i want to make sure that my trigger assembly will keep working forever. Should i do more than just hose it off?

I was thinking of spraying WD40 on all the mechanical parts but i want to make sure that this is ok and if is even needed. I have a Riffe C3X.

I'm not good in mechanic, but I often heard that wd-40 eat metal. It lubricates, but with several utilisations, your parts could become to be more fragile. Still to be comfirmated by a pro!

I think some manufacturers warn against oiling the tirgger mech 'cause it's more likely it'll missfire. Not sure about that though, better check instructions or e-mail the manufacturer.
Or wait for someone who know this issue better than I to answer, I'm not very informed with speargun tech.

Kingspear! As long as you wash your gun off when you are done
using it you shouldn't have to spray it with wd40.Wd40 is ok for somethings but it will break down certain things it comes in contact with like bands or even some finishes, besides when you
get in the water it will wash off.Just take time to clean your gun
and it will not have any problems.

I use wd40 once in a year, before the winter pause. The rest of times a bucket of freshwater does the trick.
