Scubadive West will be running "Hard-hat diving" days again this year. The first is planned for Sunday 27th Feb. This is a one day Distinctive PADI specialty that introduces recreational and technical divers to commercial diving. A classroom session in the morning takes you through information on commercial diver training, industry sectors, saturation diving, commercial equipment and an impartial overview of the current state of the industry. After a hands-on orientation to both surface-supplied equipment and commercial scuba candidates will get to dive in full surface supplied diving gear. Walk the seabed while talking to the surface crew. Carry out a mock video inspection survey, providing a live video feed to the surface CCTV system.
