Great White Sharks have something called the Ampullae of Lorenzini, extra sensors on their big snouts that biologists believe are highly tuned into electrical wavelengths. Sharks can sense the electricity generated by a fish or seal's muscles from great distances.

I freedive and surf in the Red Triangle and would not wear one of these things in the water if you paid me. They key is to keep a low profile around here, not to advertise your presence with a bunch of erratic electrical pulses. The thing probably sounds just like an injured tuna or something.

(By the way, this message was in regards to that little radio dealie, I just accidentally posted it as a new thread)

I heard an underwater radio once. It was at the Pacific Cup where I was a safety diver. Glennon Gingo started singing the Village People's YMCA. Started cracking up so luckily I was on the surface. There was one safety diver doing a free imersion down at around 120 feet and he almost lost it down there. It didn't attact any sharks or women for that matter.

Brad :D
