sometimes when I push my self to a new max hold the intense urge to breath goes in and out so three seconds will feel like hell but the next three feel fine and I find my self sayin this isn’t to bad. Is that a normal response or am I pushing my self to far this is normal breaths to no hyperventilation also these are on land holds sorry I’m a super beginner so terminology is still to be learned.

It happens to me - with each contraction comes a few seconds of relief.
