Hi guys, im wondering if you could suggest or offer advice on ways to modify the velcro beaver flap on my suit. I have only recently started spearing and i am basically learning as i go so any advice will be greatly appreciated.
A few months ago i decided to buy my first spearing suit after spending a couple of weekends freezing my nuts off in a surfing summer shortie. I decide to buy a 5mm Omer Imersion new titanium suit.(it was reasonably cheap so i figured it would do for a first suit.) The major problem i seem to be experiencing at the minute is with the velcro beaver flap coming undone when i duckdive. I was thinking of sewing a male and female style clip (the sort you have on ruck sacks.)onto the suit, but im a bit wary of this as i dont want to end ripping or screwing the suit, does this sound a good idea to you guys? I'm trying to avoid going down the route of fitting toggles and cutting holes in the suit if i can help it, as i imagine thats a nightmare of a job.
And secondly what type of glue would you recommend using to repair the joins on the inside of the suit and have you got any tips on glueing the joins back together? (so far i've used aquasure but managed to rip a piece of the open cell as i pulled the tape off to hard :head what a dumb ass!)
