I would check the yellow pages www.yell.co.uk any good watch repairer will be able to do that for you..

Thanks flyflicker, I found one in London and got it done today.
It is not a diving watch, so they couldn't guarantee the water resistance, but they sealed the back so it should be OK for pool use. That is what I use it for anyway. They do pressure testing for diving watches, so if I get a diving watch I know where to go.

Your post has made me realise that my D3 battery will need replacing soon. I see that you buy replacement battery & O-rings in a pack; are these easy enough to do yourself or is it best to get a pro to fix the battery???

I'm not sure if it is easy to do yourself, as I have never done it. I don't know how much it would cost to get a pro to fix it. If they sell the battery and O-rings in a pack, maybe it has instructions, and if not surely someone will know how to do it.
I don't have a proper diving watch, for now I don't need one but if I get into open water diving I will. The watch I have now is good for pool and dry training and general use, and I don't want to risk it.

There are any number of things that can cause a watch to run either fast or slow. I would say a trip to a competent watchmaker named Watch Repair in London is in order. It is likely that a complete service would remedy the problem.
