Judging from the photo, and the email exchange, and from what I saw last weekend with a "live one" of the same fin, I'd say it is not impossible, or even likely, that your fin has some kind of manufacturing defect. I don't think they really "got it" from what you wrote in the original mail. It is much more dramatic than what you describe and a little v-bend is not that uncommon...But that's not a normal v-bend IMO
I would suggest you send the above photo to ww.
My best guess would be something is loose/missing between the footpockets. Some kind of support or layer is broken or missing all together.
From the photo it seems it is also bending "unnaturally" much from the foot pockets. It looks like your ankles are twisted 90 degrees upwards or something. Ie. it looks like there is really no support or stifnnes in that part, where there obviously should be
