Hi everyone,

I have been looking around the forum and all over the internet to look for information. Yet I can't make up my mind between those two. I'd appreciate anyone's help :)

Use
- Dynamic pool training,
- Trainings of 2-3h
- I don't want my feet to hurt
- I aim at 125m DYN
- Comfort > Performance

Waterway Nemo -Soft
+ very durable
+ good quality mono
--------
- low angle (12°) → hard to be hydrodynamic

Leaderfins Hyper -Soft
+ good performance fin
+ good angle (24°) → hydrodynamic
--------
- had troubles in the past with blades breaking quickly

From what I understand, the Hyper is better at performance because of the tighter foot pocket, but hurts your feet so you cannot wear them for long, as with the Nemo, which is more comfortable but less perfomant.

Thanks

I'm afraid I don't have anything to offer except a general thought, since I'm waiting on a Lunocet as my first monofin. The thought is simply that I would recommend performance over durability. Better to enjoy every swim more and buy a new fin sooner than to be strapped with something that doesn't perform as well for a longer period of time. Best to have both, of course, but it doesn't always work out that way in such a limited market. Good luck!

If you go with the Leaderfin, it may be worth considering a blade a little stiffer than the soft. I don't know if they are still having issues with the soft blades, but some have reported them breaking after about 10 training sessions (I think that was about a year ago, maybe a little more). The medium blades have reportedly held up better. It's probably still more efficient than a Nemo.
