I have a problem....When I wear a weight belt I struggle to dive past 20ft? I simply cannot get comfortable, I have 3 big weights on it and it is a nylon dive belt.Should I try a different type of belt and smaller but more weights? I hit close to 60ft with my wetsuit on and no weightbelt.

Put the rubber belt on your hips, not waist, so the load is carried by your bone structure. Use1 kg (or less) weights, well distributed on the belt and you will hardly know they are there, much much easier than diving in a wet suit with no weight.

Are you asking about the belt being uncomfortable on your body, or not getting neutral or negative enough to feel comfortable diving at depth?

Erik question is very relevant. It could be a psychological problem!
On the other hand, if it is only that you are using weights that are too big you can switch to smaller weights that usually are more comfortable, and even pouches instead of solids.

Best weight system IMHO is a thick rubber belt (some stretch but not too much), bullet weights of 1.25lb (600g) spread around the belt and a neoprene weight vest with weight plates front and back with 1/3 total weight in thew vest and 2/3 weight in bullets on the belt. This is a spearing set up for relatively shallow diving 'cause that's what I do but in principal its the most efficient way of weighting.

I don't know whats wrong lol that's why I asked, because I get really exhausted really fast.I think it may be the fact that the weights are around like my stomach instead of my hips.I feel like I'm claustrophobic? I think I'm either going towards the rubber belt with the small weights or maybe a vest? I don't think the weight is a problem I'm pretty sure its the position and the pressure the larger weights put on me. Normally this isn't such a huge problem but earlier this week I had to dive into a STRONG current and this problem was magnified.
PS: its not a depth problem its a comfort problem.

Ok I think I understand lol. The vests are great- I dont dive without one, especially in cold water with a big suit on and 20lbs of lead.
