Hi all, tried a new spot today with Toni viz was very poor but the fishing was very tidy, had to stop as we no more room in the cool box Toni had the cod in 20m n the bream n bass all so came from the 20m mark!

I'm new to Bristol and am looking for some spots that are easy to get to in the area!
Could anyone point me in the right direction of some spots in weston or places near?

Hi buddy I was only joking about Weston super mare! I only said it was there so I don't have to give away the location of where I was fishing!viz at Weston is pants and has been for the past million years and will be for the foreseeable future most diving takes place on the south coast in dorset ,Devon and Cornwall! There's some good diving in Wales from mumbles head all the way up to north Wales! Hope this helps and sorry for the confusion

No probs there is some good fishing in the channel but only with rod n line I take it your new to the area but what about spearfishing? Have you done much diving?

Free diving I have done alot of but spearfishing I have only been several times. I have a friend who is a very experienced spearfisher and is teaching me the in's and outs of the sport. Do you have any tips for a beginner?

Apart from don't jump in the Bristol channel no ;-) Top tip would be to learn to be as quite as a mouse no splashing no knocking rocks that sort of thing! There's tons of good advice on here you just have to look
