Wetsuit Mold

I have an open cell freediving wetsuit. Mold is growing on it, mostly on the outside. I haven't used the suit for a while, but I live in a humid area, so even if I store it in a dry place, mold seems to grow.

Does anyone know how I can prevent the mold from growing? Also how can I get rid of the mold that is already there?

Prevent mold by keeping the wetsuit in a well ventilated dry area - near an AC or heat vent. Or put a bowl of bleach on the closet shelf where the wetsuit is stored - of course you must keep replenishing the bleach as it evaporates.
