I have been spearfishing for about 4 month, I'm not really good at it but i do my apnea walk and tables to get better bottom times.
I have notice that i get kinda claustrophobic when i'm at 4-6 meter.
It feels like my head is imploding. I can deal with the mask squeeze with a little air through the nose.
But today i notice another thing. When i hit the 4-6 meters it seems like my suit is strangling me.
It feels like its getting really tight in the throat and main arteries area.
Can that have any influence on my bottom time, which is extremely poor.?

I have heard of people outing their wetsuit on something a bit larger than their neck, like a kitchen pot or a small bucket, to stretch their suit. You don't want to overdo it or water will enter. Of course it could affect your bottom time, any discomfort can.

I hate anything around my neck - wetsuits, turtleneck sweaters, someones hands. As far as the wetsuit goes - I just learn to adapt to the annoyance - its better than being cold.

Any wetsuit manufacturing shop/factory should be able to insert a gusset in the neck area in order to provide more space. I have this done to all the off the shelf suits I buy.
