Wetsuits in theme parks/water parks

I was wondering if wetsuits can be used in water parks. One of the dudes I know mentioned that thrill rides are extra spicy if you are wearing these suits, i.e., more slip and faster rides plus saves you from bruises etc.,
Has anybody tried it? does a wetsuit made of the material gets hot due to friction from slides (fiberglass) etc., any thoughts???
