I've seen people refer to tables here several times now... "Static tables", "O2 tables" and "CO2 tables". I've also had a look at the downloadable ones at www.freediver.co.uk, but I haven't seen anyone here explain what the differences are.

Are O2 and CO2 tables a subset of static tables, or something different? And what kind of tables are the ones from freediver.co.uk? Also, what do people mean when they refer to week numbers in the tables?

Thanks. :)

Tables.

Welcome to db Dave. :)

Static tables are a general name for time tables you do statics with.

The tables you downloaded from Freediver UK are static tables.
The one with the increasing breath hold time is an O2 table.
The one with the decreasing rest period is a Co2 table.

They are named that way by what they are targeting to improve, in this case, high Co2 resistence, or low O2 resistence.

Ahhh, I see. Thanks. :)

So do the week numbers refer to increasing difficulty? (i.e. Longer breath holds, shorter recovery times.)
