What breath-up techniques do i use while freediving

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
About the higher heartrate before a dive. I tend to get a bit nervous before an "important" dive. My heartrate goes up a bit but more noticeably the beats are more powerful. Will this also have a positive effect?
As long as you mange keeping the oxygen consumption at the minimum (perfect muscle relaxation), avoiding hyperventilation, and manage dropping the heart-rate as soon as possible during the apnea, then definitely yes. However, stress and nervousness are often subconsciously bind to muscle tension and hyperventilation, so it needs a good deal of self-control and experience to take the maximal advantage of the pre-dive stress.

But generally the pre-dive stress and nervousness are more positive than negative anyway, and are important factors influencing also the dive response. The pioneer of FRC diving, Sebastian Murat, often claims that he would love to be a beginner again experiencing fears and stress when diving, because with the experience it is becoming quite hard to trigger the pre-dive stress with artificial means to improve his diving response.

Sweet:) And maybe there`s some hope for me after all. Let`s say I`m doing a max. attempt and get this nervousness before the dive. Would you say that any breathe-up before the dive is not necessary for me?

When I was a kid I was taught a way of doing static by holding the side of the pool, relaxing all of your muscles, taking a deep breath, and slowly letting it out underwater(40 times or so). You never let go the side of the pool. Also, relax, relax, relax. The water acts like a buffer making you exhale much slower than you inhale. You then inhale and exhale deeply 3 times, take a slow deep breath, and under you went. My PB was 4:25 when I was about 16/17 years old. I never got any formal training in breath hold, but I use to spearfish in 60' pretty normally.
