I try to always include the scientific name to remove any confusion..

Ive seen people argue for hours over wether a diver had speared a Silver Trumpeter, or a Red Trumpeter... same fish... rofl

if your hunting rigs on tanks, with those larger fish, a floatline can get tangled pretty bad, same as reel line, might make sense to rig up a riding rig, helldiver style, while i personally wouldnt want to use one, for the particular hunting conditions that you get on rigs, i can see why they are used.. basically, end of shooting line is connected to a short piece of rope with a loop through it, and you loop it around your hand, let the fish drag you till your tired... reason i dont like it is because i can imagine a fish pulling you headfirst into a rig leg, doesnt look like it would be fun

best bet with big fish like that is headshots, even if u dont stone em outright, generally you take a lot of the fight out of them.

used to shoot a very simmarl fish in the gulf (up near bahrain). they seemed to be very currious and if I banged a rock on the ground they would come in and investigate. only ever shot them in winter months as the summer meat was very tasteless of bitter. hope that helps
