What kind of sealife in Cyprus

My wife and I are amateurs - been diving once and snorkelling once - but we love it!

We are going to Cyprus next year (September) and would like to do some more diving/snorkelling off of Paphos.

Does anyone know what sea life we can expect to see?

We snorkelled in Egypt this year and it was beautiful

Hello James !

I live in Pafos so there are a couple of places I could recommend to you for diving but if you have been diving in the red sea don't expect to see much sea life in the med. What you could do though is dive the zenovia wreck in Larnaka with a qualified instructor or divemaster if you have the open water cert and you could be in for a few surprises! A few very large groupers lurk in the area and since fishing is forbidden around the wreck, they get real close. Sometimes they make you think they are practically begging for a pic lol

My wife and I both are not certified - Scuba-wise we did a try dive and got along really well - and we've both snorkelled before too.
We are looking to do some single dives with a dive master before deciding if we want to go down the PADI/BSAC route (my wife isnt a strong swimmer, so we need to make sure she is able to do the course even tho snorkelling/scuba was ok for her).

We did the try dive in Cyprus with CyDive in Paphos.
