Its a friend's and he acquired it in a poor state. Its a very nice blade, looks waterwayish but has a copper border all around on the front edges. Quite stiff.

The footpockets have perished and he wants to replace them ... but alas we have no idea what make it is ?

Thanks

hey skindiver,

I am not sure but those footpockets look a lot like the ones used on Skate monofins. They are made in russia. Here is a link.

http://www.skate2000.nm.ru/monofins.htmskate linke

they look almost like the classic but they don't have that curve at the corner edge. so maybe and earlier version. not 100% though

Scuba orienteering

The fin was used for scuba orienteering by its origional owner... Also note the thickened copper border at the fin tips.

Whats not evident in the photo's is the wavy 'layer' lines in the material. Very symmetrical and perfectly formed. The fin is also dished in the front. ( concave front )

Skin.

Hello!

It could be a "noname"-blade!

Many finswimmers can "cut" their own blades. A friend of mine bought a fin of a swedish finswimmer that looked similar and this finswimmer made the fin himself!

The most finswimmingblades are made of the same glasfibre that are used for electronic boards. They cut it and take of layers to get it softer near the tip!
