making your blood alkaline or acidic???

Hello Michael

You would save me alot of searching if you would tell me some benefits of having alkaline or acidic blood. Just the basic concept in 2-3 lines.

Baur, I can't think of too many reasons. The main ones is to buffer the PH drop due to CO2 build up with more alkeline blood/tissue.
You might be able to do the other way around by trying to counter PH rising from hyperventilation with acidic blood/tissue. Though I don't think it would work that smoothly
As far as I know all this is pretty theoretical and haven't been testsed.
Search a thread by Eric Fattah called 'carbon compartment hypothesis' or something very similar to that name. It's really rich with information. If you can't find it, tell me and I'll look for it.

If you can draw more conclusions, I'de be happy to hear about it.
