Which Spearfishing mask? Experts help needed

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Omer Alien - soft so should fit most, even big konks w/o a Michael Jackson up turn (who the mask was apparently designed for:D). Mine fogged up, toothpaste made it worse. Seems ok for the most part now (or maybe I got used to it:D).

Cressi Matrix is nice. Expensive. (Tried in a couple of stores)
Cressi Lince2 is very small -- fits me well enough but too small really. (Tried in a couple of stores)

I have one of these too. I keep it as a spare as it came with a nice plastic mask box - unlike the Omer - & was cheaper too (also made in Italy, Omer Alien is marked made in Taiwan - if such things concern you). It is very similar to the Alien and as such I have no preference for either one -- I use the Omer because I got it first.

A lot of spearing masks seem to be based on the old Cressi Superocchio, to a greater or lesser extent. The Samurai masks & snorkels look pretty good and are often cheaper.

Silicone is what Mark L. told me about the Alien as well - it is a great mask and has some of the softest silicone I have found on any mask - including the mares liquid skin. The alien's visual field is good - not quite as good as the matrix or marina - better than the lince. The sphera - another killer mask for freediving - rests on the bridge of my nose - which makes the fit a little tenative at the temples - otherwise I would use one more often.

-Good to see you here Robbert :)

That was my impression too (thought the Lince would be better, being small & close but is wasn't).
