Who has the best website?

Ever wondered what makes a great freediving website? Ever assumed that the worlds best freedivers would have the best website? I did.

So, whose is best?

I'd tell that the best is definitely Deeper Blue - you'll find here anything you want, you can speak personally to beginners, as well as to record holders, or discuss with scientists, trainers, the president of AIDA, and will be pointed to any interesting news in the freediving world as soon as they occur.

Deeper Blue is very informative but lacks images and instant excitement. I consider that fantastic pics (like some on Freds site tucked away in his gallery) should be the first thing you see.

Aside of course from Saltfree and its NING social network - Deeper Blue for Forums and Shark Freediving for news.

I think the new PFI site is good. And the videos from Goh Iromoto are terrific.

I also liked the competition updates from VerticalBlue under their NEWS section, when they were happening.

Of course DB gets you info on everyone, but it's a different animal IMHO.

What type of site are we talking about here? The top divers personal sites? Freediving sites in general to find info on freediving? Sites with pics? Freediving photographers?

All sites are good for one reason or another. The info they offer, the pics they contain, the site's design and ability to promote....

I find most of the top freedivers personal sites boring and shallow. Really they are just for sponsors and PR.

I've been training with Jorg of Shark Freediving for more than a year, but I only just realised it was his site...!
