Why do you freedive?

Why do i freedive? i haven't freedived yet, but when i'm doing apnea tables...i go into a different world. i'm exited, scared, and just testing my limits. After a hold - even if it's only 1 minute - I get so exited. I try and explain to my mother why i'm so exited, but i can't. i'm like... WOW i held my breath for X long!!! personally i don't really like when people are like ZomG you can hold your breath for X MINUTES!! I rather like it when they're like WOW.. i can for 1 minute... and they say they would like to get better.. then i'm like.. well i just happen to know someone who would like to teach you ;-)

when i did some random tables i was thinking.. if i would do this table three times.. then i'd only breath 15 minutes out of an hour! that's so little time, but i could get it to around 10 or so minutes. just the rush... but not like before you run rush... it's diffferent.

freediving is kinda unheard of.. but it's been around for many, many years. most people are afraid of pushing theirselves, but the elite... aren't. it's truly a game of mental control. unlike many other sports, it doesn't matter what race, sex, ect you are.

some say being buff is a disavantage since you're using so much oxygen for your mucsles.. but you must be fit to be able to catch your breath and hold again.

IMO, freediving is a great sport.

Can you handle the discomfort and overcome your fears?
i sure know some people can't.
