Hey I'm planning a trip to Wrightsville beach, NC September 2rd 3rd and fourth. I'll Zodiac so I can reach both jetties and some wrecks close into shore! Anyone want to meet up with me during that time to do some spearing? I know it's pretty early but I want to cook up some interests and have dive buddy if possible! So just chime in everyone in the area!:wave

come on guys speak up will ya I know there people that dive that area on here! Mat ??? where did you go man?

That's two weeks before I get married so I want to make good three days of it!!! Someone speak up!!!

It's a little early to plan for Sept dives for me, but I dove the WB jetty yesterday. It's disappointing the way they have covered up practically all of the rocks along the bottom next to the seawall, just to build up the beach. Much less of a dive, and several feet shallower. The tip is still good. Maybe I'll see you there - look for a big, orange kayak.

whats the usual viz? I'll go w/ you blade runner. I'm in Charleston SC so its not a long drive...maby 3.5 hours.

keep in touch w/ me and we'll kill some fish.

are there any ways to check the viz before driving that far????

Well it's 7hour drive for and I'm use to 5-8 ft. viz. I'm sure it's going to be better than that so It doesn't really matter to me! I'm going to have my 12 ft zodiac so I'm planning on getting wrecks close into shore. My brother (non diver) will be with me so he can drop us off at any part of the jetty or wrecks and handle the fish for us while we are in the jetty.

I now that it's early but it's also labor day weekend and I just want to see who might be interested
