Can anyone tell me how to remove the reel from a XXV Gold without damaging anything? I'll want to put it back on again in summer.

I'm sure it was Pav asked same question last year and spaghetti explained how it was done. PM them or search past threads. I got my XXV without a reel. Happy Boxing Day.

Cheers Dave, It's sorted now, I used a pair of horse shoeing tongs to push out the plastic pins with one of the spare pins.

BTW I'm on the look out out for a Match 30 for my XXVs, if anyone doesn't require theirs. No great rush, I don't actually need it now, just want to learn to use one in preparation for a trip abroad in the future.
