I am interested in getting one of these for an unusual application, scooter free diving. The intent would be to use it for scooter and diver recovery in the instance of a deep power failure. It would be great to gain impressions from folks that have used these before.

I did a few searches hoping not to start a redundant threat. Didn't find any others aside from the intro article from a couple of years ago.
