2008 Fish Spearing/Garbage removal contest entire year - Wisconsin

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Shot 2 more carp on 2-24-08 at the OUTLET in Madison, WI - Lake Monona. Wasn't much room to get the carp because of the ICE but was still able to get a couple- they were about 10-12# each - nothing too big.

My Total for the 2008 season so far is 7 CARP. :martial

Hammerheads are good guns. How are we dealing with the cost of all of these things? Do we have to "buy in" so to speak?

So, Far the prizes have been donated from: DO DIVE IN, OMER, HAMMERHEAD, IKELITE & Wisconsin Speargun Hunters.

I need me a smaller shafted gun for the pans...But I'll send a fat 'ol 3/8 through a few monster carp I'm sure...I spend alot of time in "hippoland" or Golden...tHATS WHERE THE MAMA CARP IS GONNA COME FROM I'm guessing...tHAT OR lAKE mICHIGAN. oOPS....cAPS LOCK! :duh

:) And as soon as I move to my new house I'll be just minutes away from Lake Geneva now! I'll have to look up Khel....Anyone now how to contact him? He lives probably about 15 minutes from my new house! :)

I think the state record carp came from Lake Geneva- I'm sure I'll try going there often this spring. Or golden - I saw it! The big mamma Jamma! The baby Hippo! It may even try to eat one of us :)

51 pound CARP on 5/31/06 in Lake Geneva by a DELEVAN man! :)

Holy COW!!!

I bet there's bigger ones yet! Especially since this is a NEWER record.

Lookout Lake Geneva carp....There's a new kid in town!rofl

Shot 2 more carp at the OUTLET today (3-1-08) I had a pic taken but it was on VIDEO mode and I haven't figured out how to nab a picture from it yet. But when I do I will post it.

This may sound bush league coming from me since I arranged a couple of prizes, but I would like to encourage people to support the companies that donated the prizes.

I just ordered 2 Hammerhead muzzles for my Cayman spear guns. I can't wait to check them out! The muzzle has "wings", like a hammerhead shark that brings the band up and in line with the shaft when fired. Similar to what JBL did on the 38 special, but this one does not clamp them into place like the JBL.

hey hey i dont think it counts without a pic does it ? lol i believe you

That is two for the day i could have had tons but while fighting to get the big one on my stringer he flexed and speared me with my own spear LOL but i got him hope to see everyone there tomorrow :ko(whopperhead) The race is on :martialthese two were shot by dotey at the outlet in madison on saturday the 8th

the bafflo carp weigh 20# 14oz 31 1/2 in long to be entered into LARGEST ROUGHFISH with a score of 51.64

my total so far is 5 carp for the 2008 year

This certainly would make it alot easier to tow lots of pounds of carp flesh around! :)

They call them PLATS in New Zealand....Pretty cool. Several different designs out there too! I think they'd be Ideal for our style of spearfishing...Atleast a little bit smaller one anyways.

If I had the time I could make one! Someday I'm gonna make me a few of these....maybe just a bit smaller though. Fiberglass & Gelcoat is EASY stuff once you know how. Just a little time consuming to do a good job.

I bet they are pretty pricey if you don't make it yourself!

I've thought of getting a small inflatable raft so I could just throw the fish in it and get right back to it. I saw those the other day, I think it was a thread about getting fishout of the water to avoid shark problems??
