There is no turning back, the Romanian freediving enthusiasts are now a real group of friends. Spending a week together was fantastic and full of fun. A new experience for me too, organising the first Romanian "expedition" to Egypt, trying to make everybody happy while not and not making a business out of it - possible only when doing thing by motivation and having fun while doing it. Got some fantastic "deals" when negotiating everything from seafood meals to salts sachets (the ones with Mom and baby on them, everyone who dehydrated in Egypt should now them!).
i don't know what life hold for me in the future...my only sorrow is that i did'n meet sergiu when i was 30 year of age....
for me, at 42, is hard to think that any competitional freediving will be possible...
but i will try to do all my best in recreational, to not desapoint him, because is a very special man and a very carefull instructor
he helped me to overcome my condition [42 year smoker] without saying a single word.....
is a kind of oportunity that comes once in a life time [refeering to our country]....
not to mention the help provided from all of the post in this forum from wich i'm very gratefull...

Just 42? - well Herbert is very close to reaching 40.. so don't cancel anything out!
Do you know how 'old' Jaques Majol was when he did his 100m NL?
But indeed, enjoy yourself recreationally, and you'll grow to be better and better. I'm sure the challenges will lure you to see where you can push your limits.

vali well done great pictures. I was with simon as well in sharm that week we should have tried to organise a db meet up. As for competing most people compete againest themselves in any case so go for it only afew are really going for the top place. I was one of the shallowest divers at the last comp I went to but had great fun and learnt an awful lot.
