Accident at the Blue Hole!

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
A bump for all new freedivers and LAZY freedivers who saw this thread previously and have not yet upgraded their lanyard with a semi-rigid backbone....

DO IT!

It'll save a few of you a LOT of stress... or worse...

That'd work too.

I'd try 3-4 small lengths, not the entire thing.

Electrical tape works great though and every Freediver should have a roll in their bag.

I want to make it as easy as possible for the average guy to easily retrofit an existing lanyard.

I think AIDA should have a supply of the rods and tape at upcoming comps to let ppl try it out.

It WILL prevent incidents!!

Maybe William or someone else that holds training courses (Aharon, Linda, Umberto, Stepanek, etc) could start doing this?

I get for retro fitting tape is great, but why wouldn't you heat shrink the entire thing?
