AIDA World championship indoor 2011- Lignano

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
hmm... so longer APs on the 2nd day... guess this will limit the 1m APs

Bjarte, you are the defending champion ! How much do you think the cut to make the DNF A-final will be in a 50m pool?

There are people comming just for qualify so how will they know when is their turn? This is bad call in my book... plus there is enough time to make it all in one day. For DNF male finals? I think 165 will be more then enough.

what about STA?
minimum for qualification, i mean
somewhere around 7:30, maybe?

Surely a bit more than 210m to make the DYN final? I'd have said 225m at least.

Male A final limit, according to my prediction.

DYN: 228m
DNF: 152m
STA: 7:18

I think you are a bit to optimistic regarding DYN and a bit pesimistic regarding DNF and STA. Ill say 160 DNF, 215 DYN and 8min STA.

I do remember from Aarhus that I was surprised that so many got DQ. Some make mistakes, some get to nervous and very many push to hard to make it into the finals. I remember doing 216m in the DYN-qualification and was really surprised when I went to the A-final. Who could have thought Alexey would have a bad BO at less than 210?? And I think 216 was one of the longest q. dives. On paper it looks like the DYN-final will have many strong competitors since it`s not all "AIDA-athletes" anymore. The DNF will be somewhat less predictable because of the deep 50m pool. My guess is there will be alot of people turning at 150m and maybe do a pushoff.

Does anyone remember the cut for the A-finals in Aarhus?

156m with 5 guys were DQed above it and 6 protests were accepted.

Aarhus male a-final cuts were: DYN 206, DNF 156 and STA 7.24.

you are right, competition in DYN will be harder now with the addition of CMAS divers and DNF is less predictable as it is held in a 50m pool. You say deep... how deep is the 50m pool?

And who are that CMAS divers you all are talking about? Looking the list I dont see anyone to be honest...

I think you`re right, Goran. NICE!
If we compare Aarhus vs Lignano you must not forget about yourself...
It seems that there are 3 athletes in DYN that according to ranking is a bit in front of everyone else. 250m+. And also the same thing with 3 athletes in DNF.

Well you can count me as a CMAS diver, but I'm realy not Actualy I have much more AIDA then CMAS competitions... You are thinking in DNF, yourself, Rune and me? That will be my pick to but you never know, plus this is 50m pool, I see 3-5 guys on top of us who can take medals. And the same thing is in DYN, you have Fred, Alexey and me... but again 3-5 guys can take medals or win on top of us, maybee even more...

Ps. What do you think about womens?

That is private

Reactions: Kars
I like the womens very much, yes:inlove
When it comes to DNF it looks very close. I always favor those who have recent and great results. That gives most athletes a certain security before a big comp. But no matter how it looks, isn`t always Natalia on 1st??

Natalia will take DYN for sure, but I doubt she will win in DNF finals, and static will go to Kathrin...
